STEM Lab FAQs
Age Requirements
Age requirements have been established to safely facilitate age-appropriate activities.
Location
Pearce Learning Tech's STEM Lab is located inside Redeemer Church at 3750 Zoar Church Rd., Snellville, GA 30039.
Attire
Children should dress for comfort and safety; and in clothing that may become stained. Children should wear athletic shoes (no flip-flops). Children are discouraged from wearing jewelry or bringing items of value.
Behavior Management
Because we want this to be a safe and fun environment for learning, we ask children to be attentive to instructors and staff, engage in program activities and respect others’ privacy and safety. Inappropriate behavior by a child will be redirected towards proper behavior by the program instructor. If inappropriate behavior is severe or persists, a parent or guardian will be notified and the child may be asked to leave the program. More about our behavior guidelines can be found here.
Pick Up Times
All attendees must be picked up within five minutes of the end of their session. This allows us time to properly sanitize the area between sessions. We reserve the right to cancel or prevent future participation if a child is picked up late.
Sign In/Sign Out Procedures
Drop-off and pick-up will occur in the lower parking lot, to the left of the building when facing it. Parents and guardians may remain in their vehicles. For pick-up, parents should pull into the parking lot and wait for their child to be brought to the car. Please be prepared to show photo identification to a staff member.
Illness and Injury
If a child becomes ill or injured while attending our program, our staff will contact a parent or guardian to pick him/her up. If your camper is injured at camp, our staff will take necessary measures to administer first aid or obtain medical care.
Licensing & Exemptions
The Pearce Learning Tech STEM Lab is exempt from licensing requirements under Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. This exemption allows us to offer engaging STEM programs to children in a safe and nurturing environment. If you have any questions or concerns about our exemption, please don't hesitate to contact us.
